What is Alchemy

The Book of Life & Death - part 17 The origin of alchemy goes back thousands of years to the time of Hermes Trismegistus (3 times miraculous) who is known as the father of alchemy. In certain Kabbalah circles this figure is known as Enoch, Idris in the Muslim world or the Egyptian god Thoth. Hermes, who lived in an unknown period in Egyptian history, was the one who bridged the universal information and laws for all. Just as Moses tried to convey the principles of purification in the form of the Ten alchemical Commandments, Hermes considered to be the seed from which Alexandria blossomed into a golden period of metaphysics, spirituality, philosophy, esoteric information, alchemy and mysticism. After the Romans murdered, destroyed and burned most of the apprentices and the written information under the auspices of the church, the Gnostic knowledge that contained the secrets of creation and transmutation, almost disappeared from the world. The church took the holy triangle - body, soul, spirit, took the spirit out of the equation and left only body and soul, thereby creating a more dualistic world with heaven and hell, good and bad, truth versus falsehood, right and wrong in the format of absolute black and white perceptions. Science has taken the concept of body - soul, and removed the soul from the equation, which leaves only the concept of a body, leaving us in an arbitrary dualism with the external world, with cold measurements that are performed only on matter, for matter, and with medical and psychological research that ultimately amount to rate of heart activity, blood pressure, direct reporting of behavior and nothing else. Science is the real antichrist. Those are the proud and arrogant intellectuals of the world, who gained the ability to manipulate human minds using so-called proven facts. And so, esoteric astrology was degenerated to the status of astronomy and alchemy devolved to the status of chemistry. What will be the next step? Does the integration of technology within our biology mean that we have to give up the body as well? Studies and practice of alchemy bring order by enabling a process of maturation, transmutation and mental transformation, which involves rebuilding and healing our system, creating synergy and renewed integration of the Holy Trinity.

To this day, the majority of the population remains ignorant about all of the information that was stored in those ancient libraries, and it will take a very long time to refill the bookshelves of the world with all the secret metaphysical knowledge. After the burning of the libraries and with the decline of the Roman Empire, for the next 1500 years, the Gnostic knowledge of hermeticism and alchemy was secretly transferred from order to order and practiced by yogis in India, the Taoists in China, giving light and enlightenment also to the orders of Sufis and Dervishes, the Druze and other secret sects. The information was kept in secrecy, passing quietly from hand to hand, kept away from the eyes and ears of the church. However Later, these studies were transferred to the Crusaders, who formed the bridge to the cultures of the East and the West, thus creating the movement called Rosicrucian or the Order of the Rose Cross, that was founded in the 13th century. The knowledge contained a special combination of Hermetic, alchemical, and Christian esoteric, Jewish and Islamic information. The order has 33 members, and it is believed that it still exists today. Fortunately, the gnostic information has survived and has been assimilated into yogic methods and metaphysical literature, which is detectable only to spiritual seekers that are ready for receiving and practicing this information. Smaragdine Tablet, which was allegedly found by Alexander in a cave near Hebron was yet another interesting artifact. The ruler, who was a student of Aristotle, was in search of immortality. He failed to find the solution to his physical death, but if he had only assimilated the principles of what he had found, it would have given him the so-called Philosopher's Stone, or in other words the mental and transcendental transformation needed to break out of the cycle of human life and death.The symbols and illustrations of alchemy were created in order to have the status of an objective field or a method for spiritual development, in times of the Kali Yuga, when the level of ignorance of humans was among the highest, similar to what we have today. The purpose of the mysterious paintings and illustrations is an attempt to convey the principles of alchemy to the general population. This art is full of various abstract codes of Ascension, Kundalini, Spiritual Enlightenment, Flower of Life, Lotus, Sun, Fire, Pentagrams and many other figures which are symbolic in nature, and do not reveal the specifics of the methods and metaphysics. In addition, in certain esoteric circles it is believed that after the fall of Atlantis, refugees who managed to be saved, dispersed throughout the continents, passed on the information to the local populations in China, India, Egypt, America, and thus influenced them in terms of tradition, information and skills for attaining enlightenment. This can explain all the similar characteristics of the information about chakras, kundalini serpents, spiritual portals, energy channels, pyramids, all of which were explained through different metaphors, but with similar properties and practices that lead to the same goal, elevating the consciousness, and how to use the human technology to reaching states of spiritual enlightenment with internal alchemy. A great aspect of alchemy is that it is based on universal principles that are in sync with nature itself, and thus natural alchemy existed long before it descended into the minds of humans, just like the alchemy that had to occur in order to produce planets, galaxies and cosmic bodies that constantly produce life. In Kabbalah it is believed that the first man, who is a condensed form of human soul, this first human archetype underwent early initiation by higher beings regarding the principles of ascension back to heaven, before the fall to more compressed dimensions. It is the personal responsibility of each of us to learn practical alchemy that can be implemented on a daily basis, so we can go back to our real spiritual home.

What is the purpose of alchemy and what role does alchemy play in the evolution of humans? If it has any value, the value must be universal, and one that serves the evolution of all layers of reality. Everything you see, whether it is a relatively simple construction or a complex creation, is the result of a combination that combines several different types of matter, energy, intention and consciousness. Every human invention or innovation relies on materials, knowledge and principles that were already there before. Alchemy goes a step further, in that it changes not only the composition of matter, but adds all aspects of soul and spirit in order to sanctify and recharge the object of alchemy, into a whole new potential of quality and performance. The process of development and spiritual transformation itself happens the moment we are able to synergize and integrate all the previous information and produce something new, clearer, brighter and more upgraded. Greed or control over others was never the goal of true alchemy. The work is always for the discovery of the truth and the inner energetic and spiritual transformation, on the way to spiritual enlightenment and the assimilation of the Philosopher's Stone or the Holy Grail into consciousness. Alchemy teaches principles of revival, healing, creation and transformation processes. This is the way to align ourselves with Universal laws that will help humanity rise from the fall of the science of good and evil, into a direct ascent to the consciousness of heaven. The fall is the energetic devolution into physiological matter, and the way back in scientific terms is evolution. But evolution is limited only to the physiological. What we really want is a consciousness revolution.

The process of returning to the source consciousness is told through many metaphors in religions, whether through the years of Christ's life, a Jacob's ladder where one must advance in the 33 steps of the spine, or in other words, raise the Kundalini energy from the root chakra to the crown chakra, and leverage the human consciousness to a spiritual consciousness. Similarly, the narrative of Jesus' life drama is a metaphor for alchemical processes of healing, transformation and ascension. The church today does not see it that way. These truths are recognized only in esoteric Christian circles which are alchemical in nature. Alchemy itself is an art of change that can be done on several levels: physiological alchemy, biological alchemy, mental alchemy, and transcendental alchemy. The alchemical purpose of each transmutation is to change the object from its normal level to a metaphorical status of "gold", just as Jesus turned water into wine, as a metaphor for the frequency and vitality he allowed, through which he managed to heal and change others. Alchemy is also called sun work or the eye of Re, which symbolizes the gradualness of all phenomena that develop and unfold in the world. With the help of alchemy we speed up the natural processes to search for the best quality and potential. Gold is the highest potential of the metals. Minerals combine within themselves the ability to remember information and contain consciousness, and humans combine all the phenomena and elements, up to high consciousness and complete spiritual enlightenment. In other words, alchemy is the art of raising the vibration of an object, in order to speed up its natural revolution process, up to the highest expression, on all levels.
